a second conjecture pertaining to functors

by metalogike

Conjecture: A significant, possibly primary, philosophical use of adjoint functors (and note that this use is equal parts philosophical interpretation of and infiltration by mathematical form, thus that it participates, as ars philosophica, in the quasi-formalism mentioned in the remainder of this sentence) should be to help explicate (what I have been calling) the thick dialectical sense of reversibility, according to an improved grammar of the image, i.e. of the relation of A’s being-in B in the B sense to B’s being-in A in the A sense, this an intervention which reframes in light of duality as principle of principles philosophical impasses that arise within first-order treatments of identity and difference.
